I backed Infinite Dimensions latest Kickstarter project Torbridge Cull and now have a TON of beautiful terrain pieces... in theory, since I don't even have a printer (yet).

I would love to see how your piece turns out. Make sure to let me know. Until then, happy painting!ciantyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14277558354281975514noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2783170621031025073.post-38657726764587776652021-08-13T09:17:00.636+02:002021-08-13T09:17:00.636+02:00Awesome tutorial, and the most realistic results I...Awesome tutorial, and the most realistic results I have seen so far. I have them as a separate crew. You could also use some Dixon pirates to serve as Cabin Boys in a crew of larger models.ciantyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14277558354281975514noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2783170621031025073.post-878832263437915432021-03-03T22:27:00.364+01:002021-03-03T22:27:00.364+01:00Hi, l want to warn people for Dixon pirate miniatu...Hi, l want to warn people for Dixon pirate miniatures. I bought them and they are too small when you put them next to 28mm figures like Perry, Warlord games, galloping major, Crann Tara... which l already have. Dixon miniature pirates are a head shorter and look silly next to them. Dixon has though very nice rowing pirates that you could put in the rowing boats of wargames. It's a pitty Dixon did not make them a little taller as the sculpting work is first class. l am going to try to put them on slightly thicker bases and like that make them still useful. Thank you for posting all this info. It helps me a lot.EDGARDhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08346747614367893795noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2783170621031025073.post-70457542495645504682021-01-21T19:51:59.096+01:002021-01-21T19:51:59.096+01:00Thanks a lot for posting this! They are made very detailed and accurate. Their first set of three in total can be used either as fighting crew or as a gun crew. They also gave rowers but l am personally not so fond of them.
Also note that galloping major miniatures sells British sailors that can be used as pirates or as Royal Navy. I outlined the stonework pattern with a ball pen and then cut grooves into the foam, creating a stone pattern this way.
When I applied the pigments with the binder the blue ink from the ball pen got transported to the surface somehow. :D now I have blue plaster lines!
Crazy!
Have you ever tried to emulate the plaster lines by actually using plaster after the paint job and wiping off the excess?
I will try this tonight, let's see how it works.

Thanks for the great builds!

Cheers
Julian Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08086307916221558427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2783170621031025073.post-37982115453369813472019-04-18T23:19:28.912+02:002019-04-18T23:19:28.912+02:00Thanks for that I have been contemplating these w...Thanks for that I have been contemplating these walls for awhile now.
